In this bible talk from 1 Corinthians 1:1-9 by Steve Cree, we not only kick off our ‘perfectly united’ series in 1 Corinthians chapters 1-4 for term 1, but our journey through 1 Corinthians which will dominate our teaching program throughout 2008. In this opening talk, we see the ‘high calling’ of the church of God, to holiness under the Lord Jesus Christ. Like the Corinthian church, we are challenged to ‘close the gap’ between the life we are living and the life we are called to live in him.

As we travel through this series in 1 Chorinthians i pray that we as a church and as individuals are willing to open up our heart as we face the truth that Gods word speaks, that we strive to mature as a church so that those who are seeking see like whats written in Phillipians 2: 1-18. May we serve our Lord God everyday not just on a Sunday reminding and encouraging others the love,mercy and grace that Jesus lavished on us by sacrificing
his life on the cross and rising to life that we could have eternal life with our Father God yet while were still sinner ,what an awesome gift thankyou Father God amen.
