SCPC Podcast: Perfectly United Talk 2, One Christ

February 10th, 2008 · 1 Comment

In this bible talk from 1 Corinthians 1:10-17 by Steve Cree, we hear Paul’s call for unity that inspired our series title for 1 Corinthians 1-4: ‘perfectly united’. Paul’s appeal to the deeply divided Corinthian church is that they be be “perfectly united in mind and thought”, as he points them to the cross of Christ as the basis of that unity. The cross of Christ is our unity.

Key Verse

I appeal to you, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.

Steve thanks for bring these talks to us and reminding me that unity is possible through following the word of God not just listening to what it says but putting it into practice . Let us all run this race together with pursuing the unity Jesus desires ,let it be His will done not our own.

Thanks to the guys in the leadership team its great to know that we have people who have a Jesus desire to see our church grow in the right way.
