SCPC Podcast: Perfectly United Talk 5, One Mind

March 2nd, 2008 · 1 Comment

In this bible talk from 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 by Steve Cree, we check out what maturity and spirituality is all about. What does it mean to be mature as a Christian? What does it mean to be spiritual? You might be surprised at the answers provided by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians. Maturity and spirituality isn’t about moving on from the cross of Christ to deeper things. Rather, true maturity and spirituality is all about digging deeper into God’s power and wisdom revealed in the cross. As we sang in church today: “Lord take me deeper into the glories of calvary”.

Key Verse

For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:16

So often we are trying to organize our time with God fitting Him in to our life the way we would like to see Him,but we should be letting God in control of our lives so we can be what He desires us to be .
Doing this is is a real struggle but in the end it brings great freedom standing in the strength of GOD then relying on our own pitiful weakness to live this life.

I’ve been finding these talks very helpful and convicting, why are they helpful and convicting because they are True Life changing words of God they are what God desires of His people to be.
