Hi Guy

Not sure how that list was generated but I am sure that I have enough tickets for everybody - whatever you do, please don't buy your own!!!! I'll be significantly in debt if you do.

Also, Scott Patch & Brad Herd are in too so that's at least 34.

I would love to be on board. It is a school night but what the heck!!
To avoid anyone assuming I am hugely techno savvy by having a photo attached before Ken Bryant does, Michelle helped me! Thank you my honey!

Thanks for the concern Trevor as it sure is vital for us to check thoroughly those we commend as teachers of the Word. The tendency of the 'emerging church' to undermine the authority of the Word of God is certainly something we need to be especially wary of.

I think your confusion here probably stems from the fact that Mark Driscoll is from Mars Hill Church Seattle, but there is another church in the U.S. called Mars Hill Bible Church (Michigan). And the latter one (ironically, the one with the word 'Bible' in the title!) is a significant player in the emerging church movement.

Mark Driscoll on the other hand, has written and spoken extensively about the perils of the emerging church, especially its common disregard for the authority of Scripture. He's a Bible man and you can be confident not only about being there, but urging your mates to be there too.

I'm interested to know if people have done their research on Mars Hills church, i've have and its part of the Emerging Church movement this scares me a little bit as other pastors in this movement have some pretty wacky ideas but in saying that Mark Driscoll seems to be the exception from what i have read and listened to he has his feet solidly in the word of GOD.
