Hi there,
I want to kick things off by saying that Mitchell and I will be coming along to the breakfast (I guess Mitchell can play outside with other kids if the talk becomes unsuitable for him). Let me also say that I think it is appropriate that we have this sort of talk in light of what we have been challenged by in 1 Corinthians in relation to sexual purity. As men we need a few other men that we can talk with about anything so we can be brutally honest and accountable to. Accountability software and Parental Control filters can pick up some (but not all) stuff, but having another man ask us the hard questions as well is another step better. One on one intimate relationships are a way of helping us to mature as men. As men we have been wounded in the context of significant relationships (often by our own fathers or father figures), and powerful healing can occur in the context of significant relationships too. I'm looking forward to the morning and hope to see a lot of other guys there too.
