Steve Cree spoke to us from James 2:1-13. Whether through active avoidance or passive blindness we can fall into the trap of showing favouritism in who we connect with. But God’s mercy has connected with all types (even us!). That is the loving attitude we should have.

I really liked this talk. even though it deeply challenged me to think more on this issue and change where i am not following Jesus, i am happy. I am happy because i am learning the way of God and being challenged to align my life with his standards.
I want to follow the gospel not a man centered religion. I have already seen some areas such as youth that i can be prejudice against. i will work on changing my attitude on this.
I agree with Mark, the talk was deeply challenging and as always infused with the simple gospel message. It made me think of my prejudices against those around me and how I can be missing opportunities God is presenting me with, especially in my industry!
it was a great message – particularly prompting me to think about people in our “blind spots”. How easy it is to be blind to the desperate need of those around us who need to hear the gospel.
It is an important challenge to be thinking about who GOD wants in church (i.e. the lost and unsaved) instead of who WE want in church (i.e. those of many talents…).
