equip squareEquip: Let’s Keep Talking

It was great to hear so many personal stories from SCPC brothers & sisters at our Equip night on same-sex attraction. One of the big goals of the night was to open up dialogue on this important issue and also to show that sin loses its power when we bring it into the light by confessing our sin to one another. The gospel gives us the freedom to do this!

If you’d like to talk further about the theological dimension of same-sex attraction and where we stand as a church on the issue, Pete would welcome those conversations. If your interest is of a more personal nature, any of our speakers from the Equip night would love to hear from you.

And don’t forget that there are now about 10 new titles on same-sex attraction in the SCPC church library so drop into the office at Park Ave to browse and borrow.

UPDATE: I just realised I promised 5 ideas in the Weekly Email so here are two more to add to the three above…

4. Watch the video that I couldn’t get to play at start of the Equip night

5. Pray for ongoing good fruit from the Equip night – you could start here.

Safari 2015Safari Registrations

We’ve already got 40 Youth signed up for Safari which is a record for this time of year. A BIG THANK YOU to all the youth and parents who’ve got their regos in – it helps so much with getting everything organised.

But if you haven’t got your rego in yet, there’s still time – do it today! And it’s not too late to invite any friends you reckon might be keen to come along. So get onto it – and give them the chance to turn from fake gods to the REAL GOD at Safari 2016!

If the cost of Safari means you’re not sure if you can go, please talk to the common fund as subsidies may be available.
