Easter Sunday Scattering

Sunday 12th April 2020

Welcome! to our Easter Sunday Scattering online. Wherever you find yourself scattered, we pray you will be encouraged from God’s word as we open to Luke 24: 44-53 and see that Jesus’ resurrection was incredible news for all with a fearful view of death. And we’ll be asking the question: What would it look like if Easter was cancelled?

Following, is all the information you will need to be able to benefit from our scatterings this Easter Sunday.

Church Family Prayer

Loving God Loving Each Other Loving the World
Sunday Give thanks that Jesus didn’t stay dead but was taken to heaven.

Pray we can live in the joy of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead to eternal life. Pray we will continue to extend invitations to friends & family to join our online meetings each Sunday.
Monday Praise God that Jesus is the risen ruler of our world.

Pray that the truth of eternal life through Jesus will permeate all our conversations. Pray we will be generous and servant hearted for the good of others during this tough time.
Tuesday Confess that we can live as if Jesus is absent and powerless.

Pray for Robyn as she awaits news of the next stage of her treatment. Pray that we will lovingly and boldly share the good news of Jesus with whoever we can.
Wednesday Ask God to create joy within us.

Ask God to enable us to keep in touch with all who find social isolation difficult. Pray for our Government & leaders as they have the responsibility of making hard decisions that affect many people’s lives.
Thursday Admit that we can be downcast and hopeless in the midst of crisis.

Pray for our church families with children to be lovingly creative in the school holidays. Pray that Australians will be supportive & compliant with the changes happening in their lives through Covid-19.
Friday Ask God to grow within us genuine praise because of the news of Easter.

Pray that social isolation will be a blessing to those who need rest. Pray that Covid-19 might be stopped and that many will be saved.
Saturday Rejoice that COVID-19 cannot cancel Easter. Rather the Easter message provides us hope for today and tomorrow. Pray for families grieving the loss of loved ones and the sadness of not being able to attend funerals. Pray that persecuted Christians can be rescued from the clutches of their afflicters.
