Growup: Day 305

Acts 16:1-18:23

The unstoppable word.

The community of believers (notice Luke joins the adventure in 16:10 10we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia) continue in the mission charter from Acts 1:8.

While they are faithful in there hearing the call to live radiant spirit filled lives, so is God at work powerfully through the gospel word:

14One of those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message. Acts 16:14

The Lord is at work, as the gospel word is proclaimed. Though God is at work, unveiling blind eyes and opening hearts to the gospel word. This does not stop the mission of the believing community:

9One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” 11So Paul stayed for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God. Acts 18:9-11

The gospel word can not be stopped, but we must not stop in proclaiming it!
