Rachel in Eurasia
Summer
Praise God for the warmth of summer in what can be at times are very cold and harsh climate. Give thanks for the beauty of all that God has made and the kind of weather that makes it possible to enjoy it! Pray that end-of-year timetabling changes would make it possible for Rachel to join in with a Bible Study group at church which was not previously possible.
Book Club
Praise God that several non-Christian men and women are keen to discuss ideas from Christian books at Rachel’s book club. Give thanks for the interest that the opportunity to learn English creates. Pray that the interest would deepen and that the group members would see that all the ideas are connected to Jesus and that faith in him is essential to living a truly good life.
Youth Conference
Give thanks for the many young people at Rachel’s church and for the opportunity this brings to host a regional youth conference. Pray that time spent with youth from other churches would strengthen them all in their faith and help them to see that Jesus is building his church in the difficult Eurasian environment.
