WordsworthWords Worth Fighting For

This guy is William Wordsworth, a poet from the 19th Century. He’s not really all that important but his name is kinda cool: “Wordsworth” – not a bad name for a poet! It’s also a good reminder that sometimes words really matter – and that’s certainly the case with God’s word the Bible. The Bible is full of “words worth fighting for” (see the link now… Wordsworth, words worth… :).

Anyway, as discussed at our Start meeting, each week in our DNAs this term we’re going to ask someone to do some research on a particular “word worth fighting for” from the following week’s passage. It’s a chance for someone to dig a bit deeper and then to share with the rest of the group what they’ve discovered. You can use the following list or choose your own words – up to you!

Week 2: submission

Week 3: overseers & deacons

Week 4: godliness

Week 5: family

Week 6: preaching & teaching

Week 7: contentment

Picture2Family Life Contributions

To create a homely feel to our ‘Family Life’ series this term, we welcome your contributions to our stage set at our morning and evening Sunday gatherings. It’s partly about the look but mostly a symbolic reminder that we all belong and all contribute to our church family. Bring something from home and place it on the stage set each morning before we start and don’t forget to take it home again afterwards.
