Marshall has recovered well from the heart attack he experienced a couple of months ago and is looking forward to starting pastoral work at South West Evangelical Church in Sydney next week. Marshall & Julie want to thank us for all our support over the years of their ministry in China & Taiwan and also to let any financial supporters know that they can contact CMS to cut off financial support.
Year 5/6 Kids Event
Kids in years 5 & 6 get to go on an adventure to the Murphy’s farm this Saturday 3rd November. Kids Church leaders will provide transport from Park Ave leaving at 1pm and returning at 5:30pm.
Newcomers Lunch
If you’re new at Southern Cross, we’d like to welcome you with lunch this Sunday 4th November, 12:30pm at the Thompsons, 54 Spring Street, East Lismore.
Blokes Go Bush with Band
That’s right, it time for all SCG and SCPC blokes to get away for an overnighter to the stunning green hills of Afterlee on November 9 & 10. Dave Bailey from Rose City Presbyterian Church at Warwick will be speaking to us from the Bible and there will be some great Brazillian BBQ along with some fine music to enjoy. For a cracking good time, add your name to the sign-up sheet and grab a flyer from the Community table.
YC ONE
Youth from other local churches will join our youth at Lismore High on Friday 16th November. Stew Playsted will open up God’s word and help our youth discover how they can foster a genuine and life transforming passion for Christ. It begins at 6:30pm with dinner and finishes at 9pm. Bring $5.
