The Pastors’ Post

Welcome to The Pastors’ Post, an update for life at Southern Cross.

Roll up! Roll up! It’s nearly time to head to the show! Only one week away before 9:45am re-launches at the main pavilion at the Lismore Showgrounds next Sunday 31st October. SCG will also re-launch at 9am at Invercauld House. 6pm will re-launch at our Park Ave building.

We have been updating our covid safe plans and speaking with the PCNSW about risk assessments for our Sunday gatherings. Please be praying for our staff team and church family as we undertake the move to the showgrounds for 9:45am, and as we move toward the silly season that we would need energy, strength and clarity of mind.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you all face-to-face. If you unable or uncomfortable to join us, a recording of the Bible talk for the day will be available on the website at 9:45am each Sunday until Christmas Day. We are thankful for the exemption granted by the NSW Government to be able to meet face-to-face. However, the same exemptions do not extend to all members of ministry teams. Therefore, ministry team leaders will be informing team members of the public health order to determine whether you are able to serve across the month ahead.

Again, please pray for this unsettling and confusing time. Pray that we would have supernatural patience, compassion, and understanding for each other.

Finally, keep an eye out on the website, we hope to provide a few resources for your DNA as they continue on ZOOM. And keep being creative as you care for each other in community. Keep exercising, texting, writing, memorising Jonah 2, whale watching and praying for each other.

Let me read from Romans 12:9:

9 Love must be sincere.
Hate what is evil;
cling to what is good.
10 Be devoted to one another in love.
Honor one another above yourselves.
11 Never be lacking in zeal,
but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
12 Be joyful in hope,
patient in affliction,
faithful in prayer.

Thanks for tuning into The Pastors’ Post.
