NCCC reflections

NCCC_2014_webNCCC has come and gone for another year and I know that many people benefited from the teaching and fellowship of the weekend. I thought it would be good to spur one another on by “re-living” our most encouraging moments. I’ll kick it off…

Although I missed Simon Manchester’s third talk on Sunday, his first 2 were really helpful explanations of John 14 & 15. I loved his simple summary of discipleship from John 15: “remain in Christ, love the believers, reach out in love to unbelievers”. It’s a recipe for life that I’m keen to stick to!

How about you? What were your best moments from NCCC?

My most encouraging moment was during a song. I saw a young Christian man across the row from me crying tears of joy to a song praising God. This touched and encouraged my heart. This man’s desire and devotion to God (I know the man and there is more eviedence of this D & D then just his singing!) spurred me on to continue to love and serve our Triune God. To me this was an example of how one part of the body of Christ can help another part.
