Taiwan Blog: Day 2

image1We finally arrived in Kaohsiung today. We caught the speed rail train from Taipei to Kaohsiung, where the Scott’s live. The lady in the photo was bringing food along the train as well as Hello Kitty cookie cutter gift set. From there we checked into our motel rooms, very relived to have arrived at our destination.

Marshall and Julie gave us a yummy pumpkin soup lunch. Then they told us a bit more about Taiwanese culture, particularly about Confucianism and folk religion. The photo is of the Scott’ s apartment building.

    Hey Team!

Glad to hear you’re in Taiwan and already spending time with the Scotts. Let me encourage you to make the most of the journey by doing all that you can to serve, encourage and spur the Scotts on in the gospel. As you talk with Marshall, Julie, Douglas, Bill & Daniel let your conversation be full of grace so that you’re experiencing genuine spiritual friendship with them – true nourishment for their souls. If you do this, then whatever else does or doesn’t happen, your trip will have been a success.

    Keep the updates coming!

    In Christ
